Capture The Fun, Catalog Your Creativity

A Credible creative Claim

A DidThat is a new way to make a creative claim that has real credibility. Claiming you created something is important. Having some evidence or support for that claim (a recording, a picture, a document...whatever) is also important.

One without the other isn't, frankly, very useful. But if you can link them together in a single package that's almost impossible to alter, with a date and time stamp that's very hard to contest, well, now you've got something. And that's what a DidThat does.

Claim The Moment

Transform any experience into a badge of honor. Perfect for fun lovers, jokesters, and storytellers alike. Claim the moment for yourself, or gift the moment to someone you care for.

Your Content Is Yours: We SIMPLY Don't Keep It

Whatever you create or experience, everything in a DidThat is yours, and yours alone. We don't store it, we don't want it. Once your DidThat arrives in your inbox, we delete your content from our servers. All we keep is your email address (that's how we deliver your DidThats and give you discounts) and the digital fingerprints of your content (your protection from fraud). Payments are handled by a secure, third party service, so we don't need your payment information.

We can't use it, sell it, distribute or copy it, because we don't have it. How's that for privacy?

Your Claim is Credible: It's Fingerprinted

No claim is credible if the support for the claim can be altered or contested. A DidThat is almost impossible to alter. Your claim and its supporting content are digitally fingerprinted so even the slightest alteration is obvious. The DidThat is delivered as a time- and date-stamped email with the supporting content attached. Unlike the old "send it to yourself and don't open the envelope" myth (sorry, it's a myth and has no credibility), a DidThat is a powerful deterrent and very hard to contest.

If anyone ever contests the authenticity of your DidThat, you can confirm every element of it by contacting us.

Let's Get One Thing Straight...

A DidThat is a claim, not legal proof of a claim. It's not a registered copyright, or a patent or a trademark. The only way to get that kind of legal protection is through the government, which can be expensive and isn't always necessary.

Put a little differently, we're not here to vouch for your claim. We're here to record it, quickly, inexpensively and, for most purposes, convincingly.

DidThat.me figured out that a date-stamped certificate of a claim, with attached, unalterable  support for that claim, is, for most, all that's needed. But if you really think someone might try to steal your creation, register it legally.

Suitable for Framing

Your DidThat Certficate has been designed to be framed. It's in standard diploma (8.5 by 11 inches) size with full resolution at that size. Whether you want to hang it on your wall, or let someone else hang it on their wall, it's a really nice way to display your claim.

Let's Do This

Creating a DidThat is easy. There are only two steps: fill in the form below, and then make payment using a link that we'll email to you. That's it. Once payment is made, your DidThat will be on its way to your inbox. No accounts, no logins, no stored content, none of that.

One important thing though: don't delete your DidThat email! If you do, it's gone. We can't recreate it because, like we said, we don't store your content. Your DidThat is valuable, so make sure you back it up.

Okay, let's go.

Great! Please check your email inbox for an email from service@didthat.me. Follow the link to make payment and you're done; your DidThat will be delivered soon after. Thanks for using DidThat. And remember, your subsequent DidThats will be discounted, so keep doing that.
